Dr. Sajad Ahmad Bhat is an Assistant Professor in the Post Graduate Department of Economics, University of Kashmir. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the School of Economics, University of Hyderabad, where his doctoral research focused on developing a structural macroeconometric model for India and its application to policy simulation. He also holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Hyderabad and a Bachelor's degree (Honours) in Economics from Aligarh Muslim University.

His research has been published in leading national and international journals, including International Journal of Finance & Economics, International Journal of Emerging Markets, Foreign Trade Review, Journal of Social and Economic Development, Economic Annals, Studies in Economics and Econometrics, and International Journal of Social Economics.
