Abstract :

Education and Health occupy a central position in the economics of development and poverty reduction as they act as the escae routes of poverty and underdevelopment. Investment in health and education determine the quality and quantity of the human capital which entails the long-run growth and development of an economy according to the endogenous growth models. The importance of health and education in the policies combating underdevelopment is evident as they persistently constituted as the central theme of Millennium Development Goals ( MDG 2,4,5,6) upto 2014 as well Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs 3,4,6). Due to the inherit merit goods nature of health and education their provision through the market is possible but not necessarily sufficient to maximize social welfare which necessitates the role of the state ( Institutions) in the provision of these goods. With this background the study aims at analyzing the impact of Institutional Quality in determining the health and educational outcomes in developing countries by incorporating Institutional Quality variables enlisted by International Country Risk Guide and World Governance Indicators and Generalized Method of Moments methodoly.
